You won't believe this,

I haven't posted since the 25th! This means that along with the four days I was on vacation, I have missed a total of 1 week and one day doing EDFAM!So, I'll admit that I cannot post every day for a month.I feel like I give up way too much.
Blech.

Well,

I finished Daddy Long-Legs. I also finished Just Patty. I'm reading When Patty went to College. Next I read Dear Enemy. What are you reading?

Well, hello, I guess

I know I haven't posted for the last three days, but I was still on holiday and I couldn't fing an internet connection, so.I have to finish the three Junie B. Jones book reviews, but I'm still tired from all that trekking and stuff that I'll do it later.
Anywho, on the course of my vacation, I learnt two new card games, namely Rummy and something called Boatmail, I think? It rained so much that there was absolutely NOTHING to do other than play cards and re-read the entire Mysterious Benedict Society collection. It's a wonderful series, and I quite liked Constance, who reminded me of a cat.
So, that's all I have to say for now, I guess.
P.S. Guess who spent their entire day not worrying about studying? ME, that's who! Maybe this is how you always feel, but I've been studying since February, so this is a releif.
P.P.S. I got 93% in French and 98% in ICT!
P.P.P.S I only got 80% in Social Studies.
Sad, happy, mixed feeling-ed me.

Book Review: The Berenstain Bears’ Trouble with Money

Bonjour, again!

So I’m reviewing The Berenstain Bears’ Trouble with Money by Stan and Jan Berenstain today.

I don’t think I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the others because it left some thinking to the readers and at 4, I was not very patient with books that made me think. Looking back now, I don’t think I understood the concept of money yet, so it was a bit hard to read. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful book, but I think I was a bit too young when I read it. Now when I read it, I find parts of the book hilarious, like when Brother and Sister Bear imagine Papa Bear actually made of money. It was a lovely book, and I love the illustrations.

Book Review: The Berenstain Bears' New Baby

I really think I should start reading more grown-up books. Heh. So, today I'm going back to the beginning. This was the first Berenstain Bears book, I think.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I think this was the first one that I read. I loved the illustrations, especially the porridge they eat at bearkfast, before they "wash it down with a gulp of honey from the family honey pot". They have a family honey pot! How cool! It's an amazing book, granted, but I do have a few....doubts, shall we call them? So, first of all, why does Small Bear turn into Brother Bear in the next books? Why does Small Bear NOT realize that his mother is nine months pregnant? How can you just walk into the forest and chop down a humongous tree, just to BUILD YOUR OWN BED? Ah, well. Questions are questions. They can't all be answered. But seriously. I really liked this book and you should definetely read it if you get the chance.

Book Review: The Berenstain Bears and the Missing Honey

Hello again!  Today I'm doing The Berenstain Bears and the Missing Honey by Stan and Jan Berenstain.

*SPOILER ALERT*

A very delightful book, because it references something called Blackberry Honey. How Interesting! Anyway, the whole book is a very long poem, in case you hadn't noticed. I enjoyed this book very much, and if you pick it up, do not put it down until you have read it. I was hoping that the culprit WAS Grizzly Gran, Brother and Sister's grandmother, but then again, maybe I don't. Also, when Papa bear knocks down everything in the perfume shop, he does not have to pay or anything! Or in any of the other shops that he wrecks! Sometimes I wish I lived in a society that forgave you for everything, no matter what.

"In that direction," the Cat said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Hatter: and in that direction," waving the other paw, "lives a March Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad."
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Book Review: The Berenstain Bears Scouts and the Missing Merit Badges.

So, for my entertainment and you viewing (or reading, whatever) (dis)pleasure, I have decided to do a week-long series of book reviews of my favorite books when I was very young, from around 4 to 7.
Today, May the fifteenth, is a Sunday and it will continue 'till next Saturday, May the twenty-first.
The first four are Berenstain Bears and the next/last three are Junie B. Jones. I don't care for spoiler alerts because I usually read the thing even if I haven't read/seen the book/movie. But anyway, since I am not everyone who reads this.
P.S. How do you know I'm not on vacation, lugging all these books with me?

*SPOILER ALERT*

The Berenstain Bear Scouts and the Missing Merit Badges (Berenstain Bear Scouts Merit Badge Mystery)When I first read The Berenstain Bears Scouts and the Missing Merit Badges by Stan and Jan Berenstain, I loved it. It was a very good book, although it did seem odd that farm animals could talk. (I don't know why, the whole series revolves around the lives of two talking bears!) Apart from the fact that I thought Sister Bear and Brother Bear were a bit too dependent on farm animals, it was a very good read. I would have liked a bit more mystery, though. Why did they trust the animals so much? Since when are owls awake at night? Questions, questions, questions. No answers. I reckon they wrote the book for 5-6 year olds and kids that young wouldn't have thought of these questions.

Book reviews for 25 page-long stories with huge writing and ginormous illustrations can't be very long, don't you think?

It is now officially Summer, I think.

So, summer has just begun, and yes, thankyouphineas, it does belong to me.
Pearlene still insists on calling the EveryDayForAMonth thing BEDA, which it is most certainly not, because if my calculations are correct, this is May. Which makes it BEDM or BEDIM. the second one's easier to pronounce but I think EDFAM makes more sense. If I am able to succesfully blog every day this month, I may try it again in June, making it EDFAM II. Why am I talking about this?
Wait a minute. Have I just told you that I live in the Nortern Hemisphere? *hint hint* Yes, yes, I do. Sadly, I am not from South America, Southern Africa or Australia. Well, that is all for today and I bet you don't know that I'm travelling. I am not a travel blogger. I do not talk about my vacation. I am simply a (ir)regular blogger, talking about things I see and do when I'm NOT on vacation. *sigh*

I DO have to study!

Turns out, I underestimated my exam portion. It's a lot more than I thought it would be.
It counts for 40% of my grade. It's also only a half-hour long.
HOW CAN THEY MAKE AN EXAM THAT COUNTS FOR FORTY PERCENT OF MY GRADE ONLY HALF AN HOUR LONG? HOW CAN THEY?

Things and People to NOT throw off Rainbows, I think.

FREE!!! Kind of, at least, maybe, a bit.
Only one exam left,  (Yay!) and I am FREE!
Anywho, I'm going to put together a list of thing's I don't hate, things I like, and things I love
  1. Math. I don't hate math. I actually like math. Ah, math lovers come few and far between.
  2. Baking. I do enjoy baking. I would say that it is, in fact, one of the things that I love doing.
  3. Procrastinating. This is also one of the things I love doing.
  4. Harry Potter. I am not ashamed to say (wait, why would I be ashamed?) that I am a complete Potterhead.
  5. I also like the Magyk series, by Angie Sage.
  6. Philophobia. I don't hate philophobia.
  7. Grammar. I actually don't mind grammar.
  8. Music by people whose names do not start with N or have the initials JB.
  9. Also, I like reading other people's blogs. Blogging myself...not so much.
  10. Numbered lists, like this one.
  11. For that matter, lists! I like lists very much.
  12. There is no number 12!
  13. I like the number 13.
So, I guess that is it. See you tomorrow!

Bonjour, mes amis!

As you can see, I HAVE been preparing for my french exam tomorrow.
Yes, you heard me right. I, Anika Creeck, have been studying. Blech.
Anywho, I opened my french book and there was a picture of a girl who was 12 years old in 5th grade. When I was in 5th grade, I was 9. Ah, well. Either France's schooling system is different than the one where I live, or I'm much smarter than 12-year old Charlotte.
That's all I have to say now, I guess. Tomorrow is when I will be able to say I am finally free, because my ICT theory exam requires no preparation whatsoever.

Well, Hello there!

As you can see, I am in a considerably better mood than yesterday because I just finished my Geography and History exams (Yay!). But, sadly, now I have to go study le français. Le français is such a boring, boring subject. So, that is all I have for today, but day-after tomorrow, I will be able to write an actual post because my exams will be nearly over, and all that will be left will be ICT theory.

Good Morning, Mother's Day!

Since I have nothing to post about and my Geography and History finals are tomorrow, I will fill this post with quotes about mothers.

Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over."

Heh. I couldn't find anything else. By the way, have you seen Google's homepage today?

hehehe

As you can see from the title, I am in a very evil mood right now. Why? I have absolument no idea.
Tomorrow is Muzzer's Day. Tomorrow is also No Socks Day, the beggining of Deaf Awareness Week, National Teacher Day, and National Coconut Cream Pie Day
The last one's my favorite. So, other than studying l'histoire et la géographie, I have also been stodying la français. C'est tres ennuyeux. Otherwise, or should I say, autrement, I have not been doing anything worth blogging about. Except...

Happy Birthday, Elise!

So, I guess this makes it official, Elise is now a year old.
I don't really have anyting to say now, except about how I wanted to make this my 100th post, but I've been setting too many unachievable goals for myself lately.
Also, I would like to add that if I am studying history now, and if I ever meet Charles V, I will kill him.

Geography, ugh!

Right now, I'm learning about limestone. My takeaways: Limestone is silly. Limestone is rubbish. Limestone is useless.
Coming to a less boring for me but equally boring for you topic, tomorrow is my blog's birthday. Do you think it needs a name? I do. How about Elise, because it reminds me of Luna? That should do.
So, like I was saying, Elise turns 1 year old tomorrow and I don't have a gift for her. (Is Elise a her? I hope so.) I will gift her a...I know! A brand new background.
Do you know how it feels to want to study and get the whole thing over with, but still want to while away your time? That is how I feel right now, because blogging every day for a month is a goal, but it still provides the teensy weensy-est bit of fun.

*Insert title here*

See that title? All my doing. So my blog turns 1 year old in two days (Yay!) and I only have, including this one, 75 posts. Ah, well. So I guess I could go on and on about my lack of posting, but I won't, considering how much I hate rambling myself.
Anywho (so I use that word too much?), I found this today, and due to my facination for the Looney Toons show, it is now, obviously, my home page.
Which brings me to the end of this short, useless post. I suppose you would all be better off if you just pretended that you had never read this post and carried on with your lives, as unusual as they are.
Also, I found this, which was a bit hard to understand at first but got easier.

Our Charity Fete Thingy

actually went really well, we sold practically everything and made practically twice the amount of money we expected to.
Anywho, I just realized that I will be on vacation from the 14th to the 22nd of May, so it will be a bit difficult to post every day if I don't have Internet access and/or a computer.
So, that's it, I guess, I have to get back to studying *blech* geography, and some landslide that happened 17 years ago.

Trying to see if I can blog every day for a month

Yes, I know that was a long title. Yes, I know that you probably didn't bother reading it. So what? To honor the starting of May, a wonderfully wonderful month, I've decided to blog every day. Since today is the first of May, I shall take the liberty to do this: Mayday! Mayday!
Anywho, our bake sale is today, or should I say, Charity Fête, because we are also selling folk-painted posts, gift tags and bookmarks, in addition to the usual cookies and cupcakes.
So, I guess that is it, I will get back to you after the bake sale, which happens this afternoon.
