The Utah Diaries?

I'm in Utah! Finally! Actually, I've been here for 2 days. We missed one of our flghts, so we ended up staying a night in Dallas and...well, to cut a long story short, now I'm here, aren't I?
I'm just getting over the jetlag. We went to the public library yesterday and I checked out 15 books! Including an audiobook, Great Expectations. The cousins are at school and I may be stealing one of their laptops to write this post. My father convinced me not to bring my own, but I think that was a bad desicion.
I've decided to review some of the books that I read (or listen to), so get ready for some more book reviews, and not the type that involve The Berenstain Bears and Junie B. Jones. If you want to read something that's not either of those, go read The Mother-Daughter Book Club series. I like it, but you may not, so then a gain, maybe don't.
Anyway, I'm reading A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle, so I'll probably review that soon. I like Charles Wallace. Don't you?
He is, after all, a genius of somesort

Summer all the time!

On the first day of Summer, my teacher gave to me
Zero homework so I'm free!

True Story. I could have woken up today whenever I wanted to, but I ended up waking up at 6. That is about to change, though. I refuse to get up before 8. I refuse! It's Summer! All the time! (Well not really.) Anyway, look at this haiku:

Summer, Summer-y
Summer, Summer, Summer-y
Summer, Summer-y

Okay, maybe that was REALLY bad. How about this one?

it's finally time
to ski and to sled down hills
it is winter now

That was a winter haiku. Look at this:

flowers are blooming
glorious colors, it is
time to ring in spring

...Inspired by In Memoriam, Ring out, wild bells. Now a fall one:

red and green falling
leaves from almost naked trees
colors of the wind

But no Summer haiku today. Okay?

I am leaving for Utah in about 20 hours! Huzza!

I honor you, Summer

And it is finally here! The long awaited! The longed for!
the Summer.
And I am going to be BloggingSummer!
Also on my list is being pen pals with Questa, reading lots and eating more!
Deux petit pois
That is a line. From a poem. That is NOT about peas.
Francis-ing (Where you reply to every question with "I dunno, Francis?") has taken up most of my time, as has studying (not anymore!) and writing bad songs about pumpkins.
It's not Christmas, and it's not snowing. I am slowly melting away due to the scorching heat and my existence at any point in the future is unknown.
In other news, I am going to Utah day after tomorrow, which means I will meet the cousins. I will tell you how that goes.
Goodbye, then!

Bangles and Business

I bestow upon you a photo of my wrist:
Because it is so much better to waste my time playing with bangles and my ipod than studying business. Also, in less than 24 hours, I will be FREE! Did you hear (read) that? FREE!
Business has corrupted my mind so much that the only meaning I can think of for free is something that doesn't cost money. Urgh.
It's so annoying to study when everyone else is not (Because I, in my stupidity, chose business studies instead of IT). They had their exam today morning, which means that they are FREE already while I have to study my head off and go write an exam which will probably get a C due to the fact that my (new) business teacher is somewhat rubbish.
Goodbye now. I hope my teacher doesn't read that.

Aftermath is B.S.

And by B.S. I mean business studies.
Geddit?
After math is business studies. As in the exa-am.
Math was okay. As in OHMYGODIDON'TKNOWHOWWELLIDIDOKAYI'LLSTOP
SCREAMINGNOW
And business studies is my last exa-am which means NO MORE STUDYING! after today and tomorrow.
Also, Paris and London!
Maybe I should go study business now.
Bye.

Afterbiology (like aftermath, but not)

3 Biology papers and a visit to the dentist later...
I'm back!
And the next exa-am is ma-ath, which means I can do whatever I want to tomorrow, provided I study for at least an hour.
Also, look at this:
Instant love. (I will take the liberty of saying <3)
Also, how long has it been since you ate a cupcake?
It doesn't matter. Go eat one now.

Exa-ams

So I have a biology exam today. Also a visit to the dentist. My next exam is math (say that in a British accent, ma-ath). That means that I DON'T HAVE TO STUDY TOMORROW! Because really, who studies for math?

Anyway, guess what?
Summer is only a few days away (okay, maybe I am skipping a week or two of school) and I will be in Utah at this time next week. With les cousines! And expect blogs at least every other day! With lots of updates about my reading list! Sorry for the exclamation marks.  I'm just very excited about summer. Also, Paris and London!

In hindsight, the exclamation marks probably weren't a very good idea. I just read this and I sound like a three-year-old with a bad case of hyperactivity.

Oh well. Maybe that chocolate wasn't such a good idea either.

Plans for the summer (Also, what BTW is not)

Things I ABSOLUTELY have to do this summer (And some I should have done a long time ago):
  • Read the entire LOTR trilogy and hopefully also The Hobbit
  • Watch Star Wars (I cannot believe I haven't done this yet)
  • Re-learn how to solve a Rubik's cube (It may sound strange, but I used to be able to do it in under a minute)
  • Read 50 books! Also write down the names. (One month in Utah with an unlimited public library membership...ZOO WEE MAMA)
  • Read at least 5 classics, including:
    • Wuthering Heights
    • Romeo and Juliet (Does this even count?)
    • Emma
    • The Scarlet Letter
    • Pygmailion
  • Write at least 5 songs. (Also possibly write music for one?)
  • Paint my nails blue (I have never done this before. Ever.)
  • Spend an entire day without wearing shoes. At all.
  • Try to blog more without making unnecessary Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Eoin Colfer references.
Things I would really, really like to do over the summer (Whether they will happen or not is another question):
  • Write a story that doesn't end in "And then I woke up"
  • Learn how to actually play guitar
  • Record a song of mine?
And, as promised, What BTW is NOT:
  • Bacon, Tomato, Wettuce in a really bad Elmer Fudd voice
Auf Wiedersehen

(I can act like Heidi Klum If I want to.)
