Pottermore ϟ

Look, a lightning bolt icon!
I registered for Pottermore. I am praying praying praying that I'm one of the lucky million to get in early.
Also, you should register before the 7th of August by being on the website at the right time and solving the clue.
But, like this person said,
I can’t see J.K getting everyone’s hopes up by letting them register and then now allowing them to actually get into the site earlier when they’ve been just as faithful as everyone else.
SO, my bet is that it’s been cleverly numbered so that exactly one million people register over the seven day period and anyone who doesn’t get the chance to register at all will just have to wait until October.
I think that now should be not.
Oh well. I guess I'll just have to wait.

Sometimes, I enjoy things:

I enjoy:
Singing in the shower
Singing badly in the shower
Pink. Everything pink
Writing about pink
Harry Potter
Artemis Fowl
Agatha Christie, because in her books, people are killed. Who doesn't love a good murder mystery?
Murder On the Orient Express, especially
Did I mention Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl and the color pink?
A good romance novel. Just kidding. I don't enjoy romance novels.
However, I do like other novels, such as The Theif Lord and the Inheritance trilogy.
Phineas and Ferb (obviously!)
Um, my teddy bear
Lemonade

Spoilers this time

It's been a long, hard two days since I watched Deathly Hallows: Part II and I still haven't come to terms with the fact that there aren't going to be anymore movies.
Things I really, really liked:
  1. The Prince's Tale: they portayed this extremely well - it was sad yet beautiful, slow yet melodious.
  2. Mcgonagall: I think the reason I liked her so much on this movie was because ou got to see this fun, more childish side of her.
  3. The Bellatrix/Molly duel: I liked this so much that I didn't even mind when she swore. The whole audience cheered when Bellatrix died.
  4. Always: I don't think this needs an explanation.
Things I didn't like:
  1. Neville/Luna: Really?
  2. All the unnecessary stuff they added
That's it, actually. It was a very beautiful movie and if you didn't like it then you are a fool.

More than losing a friend

It was like losing an entire family, all at once. I mean, I've grown up with Harry Potter. I was almost in third grade when I started reading the books, and it's been a long journey with both ups and downs. Until now. After Deathly Hallows: Part II, it's like a part of me is gone. Vanished. Disapparated.
I nearly cried during the movie, but I couldn't. I just couldn't come to terms with the fact that so many people had died and that it was finally over. Over. My mother was the person who first introduced me to Harry Potter, and I really don't know where I would be without it. While most of my friends have parents who have never read Harry Potter or stopped halfway through, my mother has been there the whole time, from the start to the end.
We had an awesome time, though. My other friend somehow got us tickets when they were all sold out. The audience screamed at all the right moments and somehow, I didn't even mind the part when Molly swore because we were all cheering when Bellatrix died. I went dressed up as a Slytherin and duelled my friends during intervals.
It's been an amazing journey, and as much as other people think it is, it's not over, not really.
Because Harry Potter will live on forever in our hearts. And he will not be gone 'till we forget him.

It All Ends

I don't know if you've noticed, but HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART II COMES OUT TODAY.
And we have tickets.
And my mum wouldn't let me skip school to go to the first show.
And I'm going in the evening. And I'm wearing a black skirt with a white blouse and my slytherin tie (which I made myself).
And I have been planning my costume for over a week.
And did I mention that I'm not allowed to miss school for the first show?
And I'm so excited that all of my sentences are starting with And.
And I'll post after school, before we leave for the movie.

Chaos

Okay, so first of all, I didn't blog for the last week because I was doing overly important stuff related to going back to school and other time consuming things I forgot.

WHAT DOES 'NYET' MEAN, QUESTA?

Somebody decided to go and block off the roads so school has been canceled for 2 whole days (and hopefully maybe more!).
I am reading Mockingjay and I won't say I hate it. Yet.
5 Pages Later:
I hate it. Officially. But I will still read it.
I finished Half Moon Investigations yesterday. Eoin Colfer never disappoints.
BUT WAIT! There is bad news.
I have homework. Of course, you'd think that on the first day back at school, they wouldn't give you homework. But no.
I have been given a list of words that come from Greek mythology and that are still in use today. So of course, I have to do a bunch of Wikipedia-ing and Wiktionary-ing to find out what they meant and what they mean now.
Take chaos. A seemingly simple word. Khaos was the Greek goddess of nothingness, basically. She was what existed before the gods and celestial beings came into being.
So' chaos' was used to signify an empty space, or a gap or abyss.
Somewhere along the way, In medieval England, someone misunderstood what it meant and that's why we use it to indicate confusion today.
I hate literature.
